Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, will provide $3 million to Eurasia Group to develop agricultural service infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan. The funds will be used to open the first specialized John Deere service center in Bishkek.
According to the company, the new center will integrate the sale of modern agricultural machinery, technical maintenance, and training for farmers. It will also provide access to genuine spare parts and prompt repair services.
The project aims to help local agricultural producers transition to more modern technologies. Many farmers in Central Asia continue to use outdated machinery with high fuel consumption, which increases operational costs and reduces crop yields.
Mustafa Zahin, President and CEO of Eurasia Group AG, stated that the opening of the center marks an important milestone for both the company and the farmers of Kyrgyzstan. With the support of the IFC, the initiative seeks not only to bring modern machinery and services closer to agricultural producers but also to invest in skills development, knowledge transfer, and the implementation of digital tools.
Wagner Albuquerque de Almeida, IFC Regional Director for Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services in the Middle East and Central Asia, noted that the development of modern agricultural services will help increase farm productivity, improve the well-being of the rural population, and facilitate adaptation to climate change.
Furthermore, the project includes the construction of an energy-efficient facility. The new center will undergo certification under the IFC EDGE green building standard, which aims to improve the resource efficiency of buildings.
The John Deere Operations Center is an online farm management and precision-agriculture platform that lets farmers monitor equipment, track field performance, and analyze data in real time.
