Bishkek, March 23, 2026. /Kabar/. By December 2026, the first stage of construction in the Jyrgalan tourist town will be completed. As part of this, the Austrian company Doppelmayr will launch six cable cars, Zharkynbek Maksutov, Chairman of the Board of Ala-Too Resort OJSC, told Kabar.
According to him, the first two 4-kilometer cableways will be commissioned as early as May of this year. "Last year, contract was signed with the Austrian company Doppelmayr. According to the established agreements, the company will fully complete the construction of the two cableways by May of this year," Maksutov recalled.
Furthermore, a month ago, a contract was signed with the same company for the second phase. As part of this contract, four more cableways will be built by December of this year.
"We are making every effort to fulfill the objectives set by President Sadyr Zhaparov and complete the first phase of construction of the Zhyrgalan tourist town by December of this year," said Zharkynbek Maksutov.
