FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Namibia discuss development of bilateral relations

Bishkek, May 23, 2026. /Kabar/. As part of his first official visit to Namibia, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Namibia's Minister of International Relations and Trade Selma Ashipala-Musavi.

According to the Foreign Ministry, during the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kyrgyz-Namibian relations, confirming their mutual interest in strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, and intensifying interaction on international platforms.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to practical cooperation in the areas of digitalization of public services, agriculture, education, tourism, and green energy.

Kulubaev noted that, despite their geographical distance, Kyrgyzstan and Namibia share similar positions on pressing international issues.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Kyrgyz-Namibian relations and expressed their readiness to expand political dialogue and practical cooperation in various areas.
