Bishkek, May 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Yesterday, Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel in New York.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as interaction within international organizations.
Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized Kyrgyzstan's interest in developing Kyrgyz-Portuguese political dialogue through reciprocal visits at various levels. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as expanding the legal framework for bilateral relations.
In turn, Paulo Rangel confirmed Portugal's readiness to intensify interaction and supported initiatives aimed at further strengthening cooperation both on a reciprocal basis and within international organizations.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding between the ministries of the two countries.
