Bishkek, April 13, 2026. /Kabar/. On 10 April 2026, at the initiative of the Austrian side, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Beate Meinl-Reisinger.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, highlighting the positive dynamics of engagement following the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, to Austria in 2024. The importance of maintaining political dialogue and deepening trade, economic, and investment ties was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation within international organizations, including the promotion of sustainable mountain development and preparations for the Second Global Mountain Summit to be held in Bishkek in 2027.
Following the conversation, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Kyrgyz-Austrian relations and agreed to hold a meeting in the near future.
