Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. The waste recycling plant in Bishkek burns 1,000 tons of waste per day and generates 23 MW of electricity, Ulan Sarylbek uulu, akim of the Pervomaysky district of Bishkek told Birinchi Radio.

According to him, the plant began operating on November 28 of this year, putting the first waste into the boiler.

“We started supplying the first capacity of electricity to the network on November 28. For a month now, we have been working with the Ministry of Energy, checking all protocols, and the work has been successful. There have been no unpleasant situations at the plant. For example, yesterday, December 29, more than a thousand tons of waste were burned, and an average of 23 MW of electricity was supplied to the network,” the akim said.

He also reported that a waste sorting plant was built within this plant in Bishkek for 100 million soms and is currently operating.

“We will first bring the waste that comes from Bishkek every day to that plant. We will sort it and process it there. Bishkek Mayors office plans to find funds for that purpose and spend them on the necessary areas,” he said.

As is known, the waste sorting plant was completed and put into operation in half a year.
