Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. On August 30, President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in a gala concert dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic and the grand opening of a new administrative building in Jalal-Abad.
The event began with the presentation of a documentary film reflecting the path of formation of Kyrgyz statehood.
Then the theatrical performance "Kelechektegi Kyrgyzstan" (Future Kyrgyzstan) with the participation of about 600 artists is shown.
After which the head of state delivered a congratulatory address on the eve of Independence Day.
In his speech, the president noted that the Independence Day has been celebrated in different regions every year: previously it was held in the fertile Chui Valley, then in the ancient city of Osh, and now in the flourishing city of Jalal-Abad. The decision to celebrate the holiday in each region is a sign of equal attention to the seven regions of the country, confirmation that we are a single independent state, without division into a center and regions.
In addition, he emphasized that the Organization of Turkic States declared the city of Jalal-Abad the "Tourist Capital of the Turkic World" in 2025.
The president also noted that last year, for the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, more than a hundred social and industrial facilities were commissioned. And for the 34th anniversary of independence, yesterday, another 100 social and more than 60 industrial facilities were launched. As part of the Independence Day celebrations, 30 vehicles were handed over to the forestry service. In addition, all rural municipalities of the country were given vehicles on lease. The evening ended with performances by domestic and foreign pop singers.
