Bishkek, April 7, 2026 /Kabar/. The process of resolving visa issues between Kyrgyzstan and Germany is intensifying in light of previously signed bilateral documents, Omurbek Tekebaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany said, at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee.

According to him, since 2022, four major documents and 24 memorandums of cooperation have been signed between the countries.

"The German government is beginning to soften its approach to issuing visas to our citizens. This is facilitated by active political meetings and agreements reached. Furthermore, Intertek Germany, one of the world's largest product certification companies, plans to enter the Kyrgyz market. Since the company operates on a commercial basis, they are offering to subsidize services for our farmers. If the state allocates $1 million, certification services will be provided free of charge. "We currently desperately need international certification for export," the ambassador noted.

He also reported on the development of business ties: last year, 100 companies from Kyrgyzstan participated in the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry's business forum in Berlin. The next business forum is planned for April of this year, with representatives from 35 domestic companies attending.
