Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. The international conference "Water, Mountains, and Glaciers of the Kyrgyz Republic: A Sustainable Future" is taking place in Bishkek today.
The event is being organized by the Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University and the Green Energy Public Foundation.
Representatives of government agencies, including relevant ministries and departments, members of the National Water Council, experts from scientific and academic institutions, and embassy representatives are participating in the conference.
According to the organizers, the goal of the conference is to strengthen Kyrgyzstan's role as a water and mountain hub in the region, attract international support and investment for the conservation of glaciers and aquatic ecosystems, and support national interests in water security and sustainable development.
