Bishkek, July 4, 2025. /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening ceremony of the secondary school named after "Aykol Manas" in the village of Khydyrly in the Aghdam region of Azerbaijan.
The school, built as a gift to Azerbaijan on behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan, is designed for 528 students. The construction of the facility, which began in March last year, has been fully completed. The educational institution was erected on an area of 2.7 hectares.
The modern building includes three educational blocks, a sports and assembly hall, a canteen, a library, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, two computer rooms, as well as all the necessary educational and administrative premises. The adjacent territory has football and volleyball fields, recreation areas and infrastructure for extracurricular activities.
Before the start of the ceremonial event, the presidents got acquainted with the progress of restoration work in the village of Khydyrly, visited new houses built for two thousand displaced persons, and personally handed over the keys to the new residents.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed sincere gratitude to President Sadyr Zhaparov and the entire Kyrgyz people for supporting the restoration of Karabakh. He emphasized that the initiative to build the school belonged to Sadyr Zhaparov personally, and now this educational institution has become a strong symbol of brotherhood between the two countries.
In turn, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the opening of the school named after Aykol Manas is an event of historical significance. This will strengthen spiritual ties and further deepen the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
The head of state emphasized that the Aikol Manas school in the Aghdam region and the Heydar Aliyev school in Bishkek are symbols of friendship, mutual respect and bridges of harmony between the two fraternal peoples.
In conclusion, the residents of Khydyrly expressed deep gratitude to the President and the people of Kyrgyzstan for their solidarity, fraternal support and invaluable assistance in building a school that will become an important part of their future.
