Green energy: World Bank allocates $50 million to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, June 15, 2026. /Kabar/. World Bank allocates $50 million in grants to Kyrgyzstan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. President Sadyr Zhaparov announced at the ceremony of launching the first phase of the ROX Issyk-Kul solar power plant in Kyzyl-Oruk village of Issyk-Kul region.

As the head of state noted, these funds are being provided to reduce harmful gases emitted into the environment and ensure the transition to green energy.

In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov said that it is necessary to continue developing the green energy sector.
