Bishkek, March 30, 2026. /Kabar/. On March 29, historic event took place for the Kyrgyz Republic's aviation industry: China Southern Airlines operated its first flight on the Guangzhou-Bishkek-Guangzhou route.

This route is the first to be launched and is the result of systematic work, effective management, and the coordinated efforts of the Airports of Kyrgyzstan team, as well as close and constructive cooperation with its Chinese partners. Regular flights on this route will operate twice a week – on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The inaugural flight to Manas International Airport carried 134 passengers, while 104 passengers departed on the return flight to Guangzhou, demonstrating the high interest in the new route even at its launch.

The launch of this route creates new opportunities for the development of both passenger and cargo transportation and contributes to the strengthening of transport, economic, and humanitarian ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China. "The launch of this flight is an important step in expanding our route network and strengthening Kyrgyzstan's international connectivity. We see high potential for this route both in terms of passenger traffic and for the development of cargo transportation," noted Aman Mamaev, Commercial Director of Kyrgyzstan Airports.

It is important to note that China Southern Airlines operates flights from Bishkek to Beijing six days a week. Kyrgyzstan Airports will continue to expand its flight network, attract new carriers, and create the most comfortable conditions for passengers and partners.
