Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2026. /Kabar/. The year 2025 was a historic and memorable one for Kyrgyzstan and its entire society in terms of resolving the state border issue. This was announced by Abdykarim Alimbayev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security and Director of the State Committee for National Security Border Service, on Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the border issue remained unresolved for many years. However, thanks to close attention to this issue since 2021, the border issue has now been fully resolved.
"This decision was not made lightly. Two major conflicts occurred. Batken people went through difficult trials, and one could say that the entire Kyrgyz people and the state as a whole suffered. We achieved this result thanks to extremely difficult negotiations. President Sadyr Zhaparov set a firm political goal to resolve the border issue, and thanks to this perseverance, the task was accomplished. "Kamchybek Tashiev, head of the State Committee for National Security, also made a significant contribution. "The negotiations were difficult; we sometimes had three or four meetings in a row without making any progress, and there were times when the meetings ended without any decisions being made," he noted.
