Bishkek, May 28, 2026. /Kabar/. The XX International Festival of Traditional Culture and Crafts "Oymo 2026" has begun near the monument to Kurmanjan Datka in Bishkek.
According to the city hall, this year's festival is held under the motto "World Cultural Heritage: Traditions, Crafts, Heritage".
As part of the opening program, documentary films dedicated to the activities of people who contributed to Kyrgyz culture and crafts - Dinara Chochunbaeva, Aiday Asangulova and Gulnur Kanat were shown. The event was also accompanied by concert program of famous Kyrgyz pop stars and the "Kyrgyz Kairyk" ensemble.
The "Oymo 2026" festival will continue in the capital until May 31. More than 150 craftsmen, designers and artists from Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia and other countries of the world are participating in the anniversary program.
