Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Parliament Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu received the new Ambassador of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Hirano Ryuti.
As reported by the parliament, the meeting discussed issues of developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, including expanding interparliamentary relations.
"I believe that your rich experience in diplomacy will contribute to bringing Kyrgyz-Japanese cooperation to a new level. In particular, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is assisting in the implementation of large infrastructure projects in our country and supporting our necessary initiatives. In addition, great opportunities are created for Kyrgyzstanis to continue their education in Japan, and many of our young people are sent to study there every year," the chairman said.
In addition, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu recalled that the meeting of the heads of state in the "Japan + Central Asia" format last year was also fruitful, and expressed confidence that the agreements reached at the summit will be successfully implemented.
In addition, the chairman noted that positive work is being done to develop interparliamentary relations, emphasizing the great contribution of parliamentary friendship groups in this regard.
Speaking briefly about the work to be done within the framework of the embassy's activities, Hirano Ryuchi noted that promoting the development of inter-parliamentary relations is one of the priority areas.
The meeting also discussed the ratification of bilateral agreements and the organization of official inter-parliamentary visits.
