Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the heads and members of the Chamber of Commerce of Izmir Province and the Aegean Regional Chamber of Industry.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting the parties discussed the benefits of further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the textile and light industry, green energy, agriculture and other sectors.
Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev provided entrepreneurs with detailed information about the benefits of investing and doing business in Kyrgyzstan through a presentation. He also informed about state support for investors, the country's strategic location, a favorable investment climate and tax-free access to the EAEU market.
In turn, representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Izmir Province noted the interest of local entrepreneurs in cooperation with Kyrgyz partners and expressed their readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening business ties.
As a result of the meetings with the leaders of the Turkish business community, the issue of holding a number of trade and economic events in Izmir aimed at promoting the export of Kyrgyz products and attracting investment in key sectors of the Kyrgyz economy was raised. An agreement was also reached on organizing a working visit of the Izmir business delegation to Kyrgyzstan in order to establish direct contacts with the Kyrgyz business community and implement mutually beneficial startups and investment projects.
Izmir is one of the most important economic centers of Turkiye. The region is distinguished by its developed industry, active foreign trade and convenient port location on the Aegean Sea. The province is distinguished by its diverse production base, from mechanical engineering and chemical industries to agriculture and food processing, as well as its significant contribution to the country's exports and a steady flow of investments through industrial zones, modern logistics capabilities, and the growth of the renewable energy sector. Izmir provides approximately 9.1 percent of Turkiye's exports, and its contribution to the country's GDP is estimated to be 6.1 - 6.5 percent on average.
