Issyk-Kul, Sept. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. The 6th World Nomad Games were organized at a higher level than the 2018 Games, Amirhoushang Dannai, a representative of Iranian television in Central Asia, told Kabar News Agency.
Dannai, who has served as an Iranian TV representative in Central Asia for 22 years and is based in Almaty, also covered the 2018 World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan.
“This time, I arrived two weeks before the Games. The organization was carried out at a high level and very professionally. Order was also well maintained.
“I saw many journalists from different countries here. Kyrgyzstan welcomed its guests warmly and demonstrated its hospitality. The Kyrgyz people are very kind and welcoming. I am very glad to have come here.
“I prepare reports and send them to Iran, where they are broadcast. I also filmed the opening ceremony in Bishkek, which was organized at a high level, and sent the footage to Iranian television,” Dannai said.
He also reported that 130 Iranian athletes participated in the Games, competing in 23 sports. The Iranian delegation won 14 medals, including four gold, three silver, and seven bronze medals.
The 6th World Nomad Games were held in Kyrgyzstan from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2026, with the main competitions taking place in the Issyk-Kul region. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries participated in the Games.
