Bishkek, July 1, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, July 1, during a working visit to Issyk-Kul region, President Sadyr Zhaparov inspected investment projects for the construction of a modern fish farm and shipyard complex in Pristan village, Karakol city.
The head of state was presented with a project to build a fish farm aimed at restoring the biodiversity of Issyk-Kul lake. The project envisions breeding rudd and whitefish for subsequent release into the lake, as well as raising trout and, potentially, pike perch for commercial purposes.
The facility's design capacity is up to 2,000 tons of fish per year. Construction began in June 2026, and completion is scheduled for November of this year.
The president was informed that the facility will utilize modern engineering solutions to ensure sustainable fish farming. The production complex includes 33 fish tanks and a modern water treatment system with zero pollutant discharge, ensuring the protection of aquatic biological resources.
Particular attention was paid to the project's environmental component. The plant's power supply is based on solar panels, ensuring that the production facility's electricity needs are fully covered by renewable energy sources.
The entire production cycle is envisaged, from hatching fish to finished product release. The project aims to saturate the domestic market with fresh, chilled fish, create new jobs, develop the region's economic infrastructure, and export products to the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
The head of state was also presented with a design for a complex for assembling ships with a displacement of up to 350 tons.
It was noted that the project is based on the use of environmentally friendly technologies. The concept envisions the assembly of ships with electric motors, eliminating harmful emissions into the aquatic environment.
The project includes a production complex, including a shipbuilding hangar and a two-story administrative building. The hangar will house ship assembly facilities, while the administrative building will house service, engineering, and technical spaces. The total area of the complex is 2,500 square meters. m, with a staff of 120.
President Sadyr Zhaparov instructed that projects be completed on time, environmental requirements be met, and the work performed be of high quality.
