Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2026. /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of the Kazakh Cinema Days took place at the Ala-Too Cinema in Bishkek on September 28, according to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.
Talantbek Tolobekov, Director of the Department of Cinematography, and Askhat Syzdykov, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan, delievered a speech at the event.
During the three-day event, Kyrgyz audiences will be presented with films of various genres. The program includes the fantasy drama "Qaitadan," the full-length animated film "Altyn Adam," and the family film "Zhabayy."
The main goal of the Kazakh Cinema Days is to introduce Kyrgyz audiences to contemporary Kazakh cinema, strengthen creative ties between filmmakers from the two countries, and promote the further development of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cultural cooperation.
The Kazakh Cinema Days in Bishkek will run until September 30.
