Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025./Kabar/. Sanitary landfill project with support from the Republic of Korea is being considered in Kemin region, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment, and Technical Supervision reports.
As part of the collaboration with the Korean company MYC Inc. (Make Your Climate), a division of the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment of the Republic of Korea, the first working meeting with the Korean delegation was held from November 12 to 17.
To attract grant support from the Korean side, joint survey of land plots for the construction of sanitary landfill was conducted in the cities of Kemin and Orlovka in the Kemin region, Chui oblast.
The goal of the "Sanitation Landfill Construction Project in the Chui Region of Kyrgyzstan" is to create an integrated waste management system that combines burial, incineration, and sorting to reduce the final volume of waste at the landfill and minimize environmental impacts.
The project duration is 2027-2031, with a budget of up to $10 million. K-eco Corporation is the implementing agency, and KEITI is the managing organization.
