Bishkek, June 29, 2025. /Kabar/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, at the invitation of Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, paid an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
During the talks, the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries thoroughly discussed a wide range of topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including priority areas of cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties also reviewed the progress in implementing the agreements reached during previous high-level visits and expressed their readiness to continue to make joint efforts to bring Kyrgyz-Russian relations to a qualitatively new level.
Special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, CIS, EAEU, SCO, CSTO and other integration associations.
The negotiations were held in a traditionally open atmosphere, in the spirit of mutual understanding and trust. Both sides confirmed their desire to further strengthen the partnership, expand practical cooperation and increase the results already achieved.
Separately, the high intensity of the political dialogue was noted, including regular contacts at the level of heads of state, parliaments and governments of the two countries.
During the meeting, promising areas of bilateral cooperation were identified, and the schedule and agenda of upcoming high-level events planned for the current year were clarified, the report said.
"Jeenbek Kulubayev also paid attention to issues on the migration agenda, emphasizing the importance of protecting the rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens located in the Russian Federation," the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry noted.
