Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2026. /Kabar/. On September 1-5, as part of the VI World Nomad Games, a large-scale cultural and sports program will be held in the ethno-cultural town "Nomad World" in the Kyrchyn Gorge.
According to the WNG media headquarters, concerts, ethno-cultural festivals, national games, competitions, master classes, exhibitions of crafts and national cuisine await guests.
Main events by dates:
September 1 — Opening of the International Cultural and Tourist “Ethno-Bazaar”.
The program will include a grand opening, performances by street artists, master classes by craftsmen and chefs, presentations of national cuisine and the “Shamal-fest”.
September 2 — Opening of the cultural program.
The main stage “Kut Ordo” (Holy palace) will host the grand opening of the cultural events “Nomad World: Living Heritage” and the theatrical performance “Duino-Omur”(Universe).
The ethno corners will host the competitions “Nomad Taste”, “Best Kyrgyz Yurt”, “Uz-usta”, as well as theatrical performances on the traditions and customs of the Kyrgyz people.
September 3 — Day of Ethnocultural Traditions and Folk Art.
The main stage will continue with the competitions on ethnocultural traditions and folk art.
Ethno-corners will host master classes, national games and traditional customs for guests.
September 4 — final competitions and a cultural program.
The final of the singer international competition, the final competitions of the fast yurt-making and assembly competition, as well as the “Zhashoo Bars” (“Life Race”) competition-relay will be held.
The “Kyz-zhigit Sarmerden” (“Girl and Guy Art Competition”) program will also continue, and traditional customs, national costumes, crafts, music, national cuisine and folk games will be presented in ethno-corners.
September 5 — the ceremonial closing of the cultural program.
The main stage of the Kut Ordo will host the closing ceremony of the cultural event “The World of Nomads: A Living Heritage”, a concert program, and an award ceremony for the winners of the republican competitions.
The sports arena will host traditional and international sports. From September 1 to 5, competitions in ordo, horse marathon, Kyrgyz, Turkish and Hungarian archery, eagle and bird shooting, stick wrestling, rope pulling, arm wrestling, and national wrestling will be held including various traditional sports.
