Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2025. /Kabar/. The Convener of the Pakistan–Kyrgyz Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG), Rana Iradat Sharif Khan, met with Kyrgyz Ambassador Kylychbek Sultan at the Parliament House to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, the Diplomatic Inisight reported.
Welcoming the envoy, the Convener said Pakistan values its longstanding ties with the Kyrgyzstan, which are anchored in shared history, cultural similarities, and mutual goodwill. He noted that the upcoming visit of the Kyrgyz president, the first in more than twenty years, presents a significant opportunity to expand collaboration in trade, regional connectivity, and parliamentary exchanges.
Both sides emphasized the need to strengthen inter-parliamentary linkages, including enhanced coordination between the respective PFGs following the completion of the electoral process and reconstitution of the Kyrgyz Parliament.
The ambassador informed that, during the forthcoming visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov, he will also hold a meeting with Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
The convener highlighted the strong presence of Pakistani students in Kyrgyz educational institutions and growing people-to-people linkages. Ambassador Sultan further conveyed his interest in seeing Kyrgyz students explore educational opportunities in Pakistan.
Both sides agreed to maintain close engagement and to schedule a dedicated meeting between the Kyrgyz envoy and the Group at a mutually convenient time.
