Kyrgyz ambassador and special adviser to PM of Japan discuss bilateral co-op

Bishkek, March 27, 2025. /Kabar /. On March 25, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Erkinbek Osoev met with Special Adviser to Prime Minister of Japan Akihisa Nagashima in Tokyo.

The diplomatic mission reported that during the meeting the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan, as well as issues of preparation for the first Summit of the Dialogue "Central Asia + Japan".

The parties also paid special attention to deepening the political dialogue, developing trade and economic ties and expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan.

The ambassador noted the importance of further strengthening Kyrgyz-Japanese relations, great potential for the implementation of investment projects in various fields and expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for supporting the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan.

Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan Nagashima reaffirmed Japan's commitment to strengthening partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic, noting the key role of cooperation in sustainable development, investment and regional stability. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue constructive dialogue and interaction in priority areas of bilateral cooperation.
