Bishkek, June 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to the United States Edil Baisalov met with US Senator Steve Daines, elected from Montana, and John Curtis, elected from Utah.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed issues of further developing Kyrgyz-American bilateral cooperation, including strengthening interparliamentary dialogue, organizing mutual visits and holding joint events.
Edil Baisalov informed the US senators about the reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan and the results achieved in the country's socio-economic development.
In particular, he noted the stable growth rates of the economy, the strengthening of public administration, as well as the implementation of large strategic infrastructure and investment projects.
In turn, Senators Steve Danes and John Curtis highly appreciated the changes underway in Kyrgyzstan and expressed their readiness to contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation, as well as support the discussed initiatives and joint plans.
