Bishkek, March 27, 2025. /Kabar /. A meeting was held between the Ambassador-designate of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia Zoran Dimitrovski on the occasion of the presentation of copies of his credentials.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the bilateral meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of friendly relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of North Macedonia. Significant untapped potential for bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues was noted. Agreements were reached on deepening and intensifying cooperation between the countries in the political, cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and trade and economic spheres.
The parties agreed to intensify the interaction of relevant ministries and departments to deepen and expand mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, and to consider the possibility of establishing a joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The ambassador particularly noted the importance of expanding the legal framework between Kyrgyzstan and North Macedonia, primarily by signing basic agreements in the fields of economics, education, healthcare and interregional cooperation. A number of relevant draft bilateral documents were submitted to the North Macedonian side for consideration. The parties also discussed in detail issues of regional security in the Central Asian and Balkan regions, as well as interaction on international platforms.
