Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2025. /Kabar/. On December 2, 2025, Akylbek Kylychev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with ECO Secretary-General Assad Majid Khan at the headquarters of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further cooperation within the ECO, noting the importance of expanding interaction across a wide range of areas, including trade and economic cooperation and the development of mutual trade between member states.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening institutional ties and realizing new opportunities to advance the Organization's initiatives aimed at sustainable development, enhancing economic complementarity, and developing regional connectivity. The importance of ECO as an effective platform for promoting joint projects and deepening practical cooperation was emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their mutual readiness to further strengthen cooperation within the framework of the Organization's existing programs and mechanisms.
Following the meeting, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Akylbek Kylychev ceremoniously presented his credentials to the ECO Secretary-General Assad Majid Khan.
