Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Ambassador to Italy, Taalaibek Bazarbaev, paid a working visit to the Sicily region of Italy on November 10-11.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, he met with Mayor of Catania, the president of the Unimpres association, the rector of the University of Catania, and Director of the Massimo Bellini Theater.
In particular, during a meeting with the mayor of Catania, the parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation by establishing sister-city relations.
Furthermore, during a meeting with President of the Unimpres Association, G. Spadafora, the A Ambassador Bazarbaev proposed establishing direct contacts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic to identify priority areas of cooperation and implement specific projects.
Following the meeting, the ambassador discussed Kyrgyzstan's export, tourism, and trade potential.
Unimpres represented in Sicily by over 2,000 companies operating in all commercial sectors.
