Kyrgyz and Chinese FMs discuss Xi Jinping's visit to Bishkek

Bishkek, May 27, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 26, 2026, Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of current issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres. The plan for mutual high-level and summit visits and the implementation of the agreements reached following the first meeting of the strategic dialogue between the foreign ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China were also discussed.

Special attention was paid to preparations for the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Kyrgyz Republic and his participation in the 25th SCO Summit in Bishkek.

The parties discussed current issues on the regional and international agenda, including reforming and improving the global governance system, strengthening multilateral cooperation within the UN, and enhancing the effectiveness of international institutions in the face of contemporary global challenges.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and expressed their readiness to continue mutually beneficial dialogue in all areas of mutual interest.
