Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2025 /Kabar/. The ballet dancers of Abdylas Maldybaev Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater performed in South Korea with great success.

According to Elena Myagkova, head of the theater's literary and dramatic department, gala concert was held at the Geumnarae Arts Hall in Seoul on October 18, attracting numerous choreographic enthusiasts. The ballet festival was held as part of the Korea Ballet Stars program to support international cultural exchange, funded by the Seoul City Council in collaboration with the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater. The audience had chance to see the finest examples of world classics, excerpts from the ballets Spartacus, Don Quixote, and Raymonda, as well as original productions by Korean and Kyrgyz choreographers, as well as contemporary works by European directors.

Kyrgyzstan's finest dancers took the stage: Dayana Kydyralieva, Atabek Sadyrkulov, Meerim Sultakaeva, Marat uulu Eldiyar, Aiperi Turusbekova, Aigerim Sagynbaeva, Ruslan Alzhanov, Adilzhan Rakhmanov, and a stellar cast from Korea: Lee Eun-soo, Kim Eun-seo, Lee Joon-gu, Chang Yun-seo, and others.

Cultural ties with foreign countries are an important component of Maldybaev Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater's activities. A tour of Kyrgyzstan's ballet masters in the beautiful Republic of Korea is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their art, gain invaluable experience, and breathe fresh air, which provides tremendous creative stimulus and contributes to further growth. Participating in the Gala Concert allowed me to not only meet creative people but also meet Korean audiences, who were delighted by the skill of our compatriots, noted Elena Myagkova.
