Kyrgyz Cabinet head and director of Global Partnership for Education discuss co-op prospects

Bishkek, April 23, 2025. /Kabar/. On the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF in Washington, a meeting was held between Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev and the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Laura Frigenti.

The Cabinet of Ministers said that the parties discussed the prospects for further deepening cooperation in the field of education.

Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that investments in education and human capital development are a priority for the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and a key factor in the country's sustainable development.

He told Laura Frigenti about the large-scale action plan of Altyn Kazyk until 2026, which includes the transition to a 12-year education system, the introduction of international textbooks on STEM subjects and English, as well as the digitalization of educational and administrative processes.

"We are confident that investments in education and the development of human capital are investments in the future of our country. That is why we are implementing a large-scale transformation of the entire education system," the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.

Laura Frigenti highly appreciated Kyrgyzstan's efforts to modernize the education system and confirmed the organization's readiness to further expand the partnership.

The parties expressed confidence that further strengthening of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and GPE will make it possible to achieve significant success in the development of education and the preparation of competitive human capital capable of contributing to the prosperity of the country.
