Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Nurlan Yermekbayev on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO member states.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation within the SCO. Particular attention was paid to key aspects of preparations for the upcoming SCO summit, which will be held in Bishkek in 2026 under the Kyrgyz Republic's chairmanship, as well as plans for commemorative events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the SCO.
Adylbek Kasymaliev highlighted certain initiatives by the Kyrgyz Republic, including those aimed at developing financial cooperation within the SCO.
Nurlan Yermekbaev praised the active role of the Kyrgyz Republic within the Organization and confirmed the SCO Secretariat's readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in the preparation and implementation of planned events under Kyrgyzstan's SCO chairmanship.
