Bishkek, April 22, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and China were held in Bishkek.
The delegations were led by Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries, Meder Abakirov and Liu Bin. During the talks, they discussed a wide range of topical issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
They particularly paid attention to the implementation of the agreements reached at highest-level meetings between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as the progress in implementing the decisions taken as a result of the first meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the parties at the level of foreign ministers.
The issues of preparation for the upcoming important events at the highest levels were discussed separately.
During the consultations, the parties placed special emphasis on trade and economic cooperation of mutual interest, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the fields of agriculture, energy, processing industry and transport.
In addition, they exchanged views on further development of cooperation within the UN framework, as well as on the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in the SCO and the development of cooperation in the "Central Asia - China" format.
