Bishkek, April 23, 2026. /Kabar/. From April 21 to May 13, the international exhibition Walking with the Earth ("In Harmony with the Earth") is being held at the UN headquarters in New York.
The exhibition is dedicated to the cultures of indigenous peoples and traditional communities in Asia and Africa, as well as the living ethic of caring for the planet - to understand that man is not separate from the Earth, but part of it.
For the first time, the works of talented Kyrgyz craftsmen and artists are being presented at a high-level international forum. This is an important step towards the international recognition of the cultural heritage and traditional art of nomadic civilization in Kyrgyzstan.
The curators of the exhibition are representatives of Kyrgyzstan, art managers and participants of the "BASHAT" (Origins) program Mirrahim Oposh and Aibek Bayymbetov. They are presenting Kyrgyz art and cultural vision within the framework of the dialogue of the world's indigenous peoples.
The exhibition is held within the framework of the 25th session of the UN Permanent Forum on the World's Indigenous Peoples (UNPFII) and is dedicated to the 2026 Year of Pastures and Herders.
The exhibition is part of the Origins program, which aims to protect culture and ecology by combining the experience of generations and international partnerships.
