Bishkek, March 27, 2025. /Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirbek Mambetaliev held a meeting with Director General of the Aga Khan Foundation for Culture Louis Monreal in Istanbul (Turkiye).
The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the project for the construction of a new concert hall on the site of the building of the Republican Specialized Music Boarding School named after Mukash Abdraev in Bishkek, as well as to familiarize themselves with the financial calculations of the project.
Following the meeting, the fulfillment of the articles of the signed memorandum between the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Aga Khan Foundation for Culture, scheduled for September 17, 2025, was confirmed.
In addition, Mirbek Mambetaliev visited the headquarters of the EAA architectural agency, where he got acquainted with new projects, as well as the completed project of the Zorlu Performing Arts Center in the Zincirlikuyu district of Istanbul, together with the architect and founder of the agency Emre Arolat and Luis Monreal.
The Zorlu Center is the largest theater complex, with a total area of 55,000 square meters. It includes two main theater venues, a gallery, several exhibition and VIP halls, five-story administrative and stage premises.
Currently, the Zorlu Center accounts for 15% of the entertainment industry of the Republic of Turkey.
