Kyrgyz delegation participates in C5+1 anniversary business conference in USA

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. As part of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov's visit to the United States, a Kyrgyz delegation participated in the C5+1 Expo business conference, timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the C5+1 format, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The event took place at the Kennedy Center and brought together representatives of leading companies from Central Asia and the United States. Welcoming addresses at the opening of the conference were delivered by Sergio Gore, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Central and South Asia, and Howard Lutnick, U.S. Secretary of Commerce.

Kyrgyzstan, together with the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC), co-chaired a key session dedicated to attracting investment to Central Asia. During a separate "Deal Zone" session, memoranda of understanding were announced between Aiyl Bank and Citi Bank, Aiyl Bank and Oppenheimer, and between Kyrgyz Temir Zholu and All American Rail Group.

Particular attention was paid to promoting cultural and humanitarian cooperation and Kyrgyzstan's tourism potential. A national stand was set up at the Kennedy Center, displaying handicrafts and traditional musical instruments. The cultural portion of the program featured a performance by the Kambarkan folklore and ethnographic ensemble. This event became a significant platform for establishing direct B2B contacts between Kyrgyz and leading American companies, promoting Kyrgyzstan's investment and tourism potential, and popularizing the country's cultural heritage.
