Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2025 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Meder Abakirov received Stephan Mayer, a member of the German Bundestag (parliament). According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-German relations. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of previously reached agreements as a result of high-level and highest-level official visits, as well as strengthening cooperation in the trade, transport and investment sectors.
Meder Abakirov noted the need to further intensify trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, and also emphasized the importance of expanding investment and business ties, including holding joint business events.
In addition, he touched upon the upcoming elections of Kyrgyz parliament and invited international observers from Germany to participate in order to ensure that the election process is open, transparent and in accordance with international democratic standards.
In turn, MP Stephan Mayer expressed his readiness to contribute to the further strengthening and development of bilateral cooperation, especially in the trade and economic sectors.
