Bishkek, June 24, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev received British Ambassador Nicholas Bowler on the occasion of his diplomatic mission completion.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the conversation, the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres was noted.
The foreign minister particularly noted the importance of mutual visits in 2024, which have taken the Kyrgyz-British partnership to a new level. These included a visit to Kyrgyzstan by the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and International Development, as well as a visit by the Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh to London.
The parties noted with satisfaction the successful completion of the first meeting of Central Asian and UK Foreign Ministers in the "C5+UK" format in London in February 2026, which provided new impetus to regional cooperation.
Furthermore, Nicholas Bowler congratulated Kyrgyzstan on non-permanent seat at UN Security Council for 2027–2028.
The meeting participants also reaffirmed priority areas for Kyrgyz-British cooperation, including strengthening trade and economic ties, developing cooperation in tourism and the digital sector, and within multilateral structures.
At the end of the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev thanked Nicholas Bowler for his significant personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and wished him success in his future professional endeavors.
