Bishkek, May 20, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of his first official visit to Mozambique, on May 19, 2026, Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with President of the Republic of Mozambique Daniel Francisco Chapo, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and development prospects of Kyrgyz-Mozambican relations and exchanged views on current international issues.

The Kyrgyz foreign minister emphasized his interest in expanding political dialogue with African states and noted Mozambique's special importance as a promising partner for the Kyrgyz Republic in South Africa.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to further strengthening political dialogue, developing trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, and implementing joint initiatives of mutual interest.
