Bishkek, March 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Today, March 25, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev received the UK Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Nicholas Bowler, Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reports.
The meeting was devoted to detailed discussion of the results of the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister's February visit to London and mechanisms for implementing the agreements reached. While giving a positive assessment of the visit to the UK, Kulubaev noted the creation of a solid foundation for cooperation and emphasized the need to move from political declarations to the implementation of concrete, practical steps.
They discussed trade, economic, and investment cooperation, particularly the mining industry, specifically the prospects for attracting British investment and technology to mine development.
The sides agreed to continue and substantially expand the practice of mutual visits at various levels, including the exchange of government delegations and the organization of business missions.
Furthermore, the meeting participants confirmed their intention to develop ties between the Kyrgyz Parliament and the British Parliament. Proposals for exchange of visits between parliamentarians of the two countries were discussed as a concrete step.
They also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, expressing a shared commitment to the rapid establishment of peace in the region.
At the end of the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in implementing the agreements reached in London and it was agreed to maintain regular contacts to address current issues.
