Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. As part of the official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, on February 1, a bilateral meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Faisal Al-Rawas.
During the talks, Kulubaev presented information on the reforms carried out in Kyrgyzstan aimed at improving the investment climate, and also emphasized the significant untapped potential for cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
In this regard, the Kyrgyz minister invited the delegation of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to visit Kyrgyzstan as part of the investment forum in the format of Central Asia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which will be held from June 30 to July 1, 2025. In addition, the minister suggested that the Omani side consider opportunities for investing in promising sectors of the Kyrgyz economy, including hydropower and infrastructure projects.
Faisal Al-Rawas expressed gratitude for the invitation to Kyrgyzstan, supported the initiative to intensify interaction between the business circles of the two countries and confirmed his readiness to visit Kyrgyzstan with a delegation of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the near future.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on developing trade and economic cooperation and strengthening business contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Oman.
