Kyrgyz FM meets with Chinese ambassador

Bishkek, June 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of preparing for the upcoming high-level and highest-level visits to Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

They confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership and deepening interaction in key areas of the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, Ambassador Liu Jiangping separately congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the election of Kyrgyzstan to the non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2027-2028, noting the significance of this event for the country's foreign policy activities.

In turn, Jeenbek Kulubaev expressed his gratitude, touched upon the country's priority areas within the framework of the Security Council's work, and emphasized that Kyrgyzstan seeks to contribute to strengthening global security.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue close dialogue with a view to the effective implementation of the agreements reached and the successful holding of planned multilateral events.
