Kyrgyz FM meets with permanent representatives of countries to UN

Bishkek, May 28, 2025 /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Republic hosted a working visit by permanent representatives of several UN member states, including the ambassadors of Angola, Belize, Ghana, Kenya, Congo, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Senegal, and Rwanda.

As part of the visit, on May 28, 2025, the ambassadors representing countries from Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and Oceania met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev.

Minister Zh.Kulubaev briefed the ambassadors on the ongoing reforms in the field of social and economic development in Kyrgyzstan and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with UN member states.

The UN ambassadors praised Kyrgyzstan’s active role in advancing global initiatives, such as addressing climate change, promoting the mountain agenda, preserving biodiversity, ensuring sustainable development, and contributing to peace and security.

The two sides exchanged views on the international agenda, the global geopolitical landscape, regional cooperation in Central Asia, and other pressing global challenges.

During their visit, the ambassadors also will visit the state institution “Kyzmat”, the UN House in Kyrgyzstan, as well as a number of historical and cultural landmarks across the country.
