Bishkek, March 13, 2026 /Kabar/. Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has prepared a set of measures aimed at stabilizing prices for socially important goods and services. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Choro Seyitov announced this during a briefing.

According to him, the state's strategy to prevent sharp price hikes is based on a combination of economic and administrative mechanisms.

The deputy minister noted that the government traditionally uses direct agreements with domestic producers to fix the prices of essential goods. Work is underway to establish permanent sources of raw materials and food products to eliminate the risk of supply disruptions. Particular attention is being paid to the situation in the fuel and lubricants market. Choro Seyitov emphasized that fuel volumes and prices are being monitored closely.

"Prices and reserves of fuel and lubricants are monitored by the Ministry of Economy, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, and the Ministry of Energy. Cabinet of Ministers is personally monitoring the situation. We will not allow a fuel shortage to arise," the Deputy Minister stated.

He also emphasized that, in preparation for spring field work, fixed prices have already been established for farmers to purchase fuel and lubricants for the agricultural sector. This will allow farmers to carry out the sowing campaign on time and without unnecessary expenses.
