Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2025. /Kabar/. Ministry of Economy and Commerce has established a headquarters to address the problems of garment workers shipping goods to the Russian Federation. Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration, spoke about in his interview with television channels dedicated to the results of the past year and plans for the future.
According to him, Russia's tightening controls on imported goods should be treated with understanding.
"Due to the increased inspections, there has been buildup of vehicles at the border between Kazakhstan and Russia. A delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce was dispatched to the site to review the situation at the border. Furthermore, the ministry has established a headquarters to which information is being received on each incident. We are in contact with the Russian side and are addressing any issues that arise," Kasymaliev noted.
He also announced that the creation of a single operator is being considered to facilitate the processing of goods shipped from Kyrgyzstan.
Furthermore, the he noted that value-added tax (VAT) has been introduced on Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces.
"The question has arisen of who will pay this tax. The marketplaces are prepared to act as tax agents: they will transfer the tax themselves, and the amount will be included in the price of goods for buyers. This issue has already been resolved at Ozon, and it will be resolved soon at Wildberries ," he explained.
Adylbek Kasymaliev also added that the president has instructed that support be provided to the garment industry, and the government is considering measures to provide incentives.
