Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of his working visit to Russia, Kyrgyz Health Minister Kanybek Dosmambetov met with Kyrgyz medical professionals working in Russia.
According to the ministry's press service, the meeting took place at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Russia and brought together approximately 60 doctors, compatriots working in healthcare in Moscow.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the return of Kyrgyz medical personnel to their homeland, as well as the creation of favorable conditions for their professional development in the Kyrgyz healthcare system.
"During the dialogue, the minister informed the participants about ongoing reforms in the sector, measures to modernize medical organizations, increase salaries, develop infrastructure, and improve working conditions for medical workers," the statement says.
Particular attention was also paid to issues of social support, professional growth, and ensuring decent conditions for young specialists.
During the meeting, the medical professionals shared their experiences working abroad and voiced proposals and questions regarding employment, adaptation, and career prospects in Kyrgyzstan.
"Today, the Kyrgyz healthcare system needs qualified, motivated, and dedicated specialists." "The state is interested in our doctors and healthcare workers returning to their homeland, developing professionally, and contributing to improving public health. Ministry is ready to provide comprehensive support and create decent working and living conditions," said Kanybek Dosmambetov.
Following the meeting, several young professionals expressed their willingness to consider returning and continuing their professional work in Kyrgyz healthcare organizations.
