Bishkek, Jan. 1, 2026 /Kabar/. On December 31, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Yermek Kosherbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the ministers praised the results of their interactions in the past year, noting the stable nature of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations. Particular emphasis was placed on the progress in implementing the objectives set by the heads of state in August of this year in Bishkek following the 7th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council. The parties noted the importance of systematically implementing the agreements reached at the highest level.
The foreign ministers expressed their mutual commitment to increasing industrial cooperation, increasing trade turnover, and expanding partnership in the transport and logistics sector. Additionally, an exchange of views on regional issues took place, and a list of joint diplomatic contacts for 2026 was approved.
At the end of the talks, the ministers exchanged New Year's greetings.
