Bishkek, Sept. 22, 2025. /Kabar/. Members of the Zhogorku Kenesh (Parliament) discussed and approved a bill banning the advertising of psychologists at a meeting of the Social Policy Committee. The bill was initiated by members of the Zhogorku Kenesh.

The bill prohibits advertising aimed at providing psychological services by individuals without a relevant higher education diploma or a diploma in additional professional education, which must correspond to their primary professional education.

During the discussion, Member of Parliament Gulsunkan Zhunushalieva supported the bill and noted that the media recently reported that a woman was defrauded of $100,000. How can anyone try to get someone to pay so much money only to follow them like a zombie? I support this bill because the number of citizens suffering from unscrupulous psychologists and psychics, she stated.

Member of Parliament Eldar Abakirov raised the issue of providing schools with professional psychologists. Psychologists are essential in schools because they can prevent various negative situations. Psychologists can understand what's going on inside a child's head by observing their behavior, he said.
