Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov today, June 8, during short visit to the Osh region, reviewed plans for the development of Osh city.
According to the presidential press service, presentation on key infrastructure and investment projects aimed at modernizing the urban environment took place, including a multifunctional sports arena covering over 22,000 square meters and designed to seat 5,200 people.
As Osh Mayor Zhanarbek Akaev noted, the site will become a venue for sports and cultural events for young people.
In addition, plans call for the construction of an ethno-historical complex aimed at tourists and artisans. Its grounds will include park, historical and cultural area, and retail space.
Construction of hotels and branch of internationally franchised school is also planned.
The mayor emphasized that these projects will transform the city's architectural and aesthetic appearance, creating a modern and investment-attractive image.
After reviewing the submitted projects, Sadyr Zhaparov instructed that priority attention be paid to the quality of the work performed and the efficient use of the investments attracted.
