Kyrgyz speaker receives ambassador of Belarus

Bishkek, March 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, the Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliev received the Ambassador of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan Sergey Molunov.

As reported by the parliament, the meeting discussed issues of enhancing political, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries, and also discussed expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Marlen Mamataliev noted that the friendly and partnership relations that have developed between Kyrgyzstan and Belarus in recent years are actively developing, citing the example of cooperation reaching a new level, especially thanks to the political will of the heads of the two countries.

In addition, the speaker, who also touched upon the need to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties, added that there are many opportunities for developing cooperation in the field of tourism. As an argument for this, he invited Belarusian citizens to come to Kyrgyzstan and relax.

In turn, Sergey Molunov presented Marlen Mamataliev with the originals of congratulatory letters sent by the heads of the two chambers of the Belarusian parliament.

He also spoke in detail about the work carried out within the framework of his one and a half year of embassy activity, adding that the Belarusian state is interested in developing the established cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, especially in deepening inter-parliamentary ties.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on strengthening the work of parliamentary friendship groups and agreed to increase their role.
